Welcome

Julien is "Starting Researcher" at INRIA Grenoble Rhone-Alpes, France, working in the field of motion capture. Currently he is focusing on combining x-ray and video image capture and modelling, using the novel KINOVIS platform between deployed jointly at INRIA and the Grenoble University Hospital (CHU).

 

Julien received his PhD from Imperial College London (UK) in 2009, with a thesis entitled “Markerless Visual Tracking and Motion Analysis for Sports Monitoring”. Although his thesis was specifically focused on sports applications, Julien has worked an equal amount of time on healthcare-related issues.

 

Julien has also served as a permanent researcher at the BBC R&D (UK) for two years, during which he focused on dense 3D human motion capture.
